WEST POINT – Northeast Community College in West Point has scheduled two computer-related classes in March.
MS Outlook 2013 (INFO 0130 & CRN #70048) will be held Tuesday, March 4, from 1-4 p.m. in Room 207 at the Northeast Community College Extended Campus in West Point.
Outlook is a personal information software program that’s available with the Microsoft Office Suite. Although it’s mostly used as an email client, it can also be used for managing tasks and contacts, keeping calendars, taking notes, journaling, and connecting with friends and colleagues via social networks. It can be an email program and planner all in one.
Cost of the class, with Diann Ballard the instructor, is $28.
Windows 8/8.1 (INFO 0175 and CRN #70047) meets Wednesday, March 5 in the same location.
Instructor Diane Hanel will explain the benefits of Windows 8, upgrades, touch screens and more in this class. She will demystify the newest Windows operating system and teach participants how to get the most from it and hit the ground running when they or their company upgrade.
Information to be covered includes: personalizing a computer, working with a new operating system, customizing a computer for greater efficiency, and exploring some free and useful apps.
